A category reset is a complete rearrangement of the products in one or many of a stores categories. The purpose of a category reset is to remove any items that are not selling well in order to make room for new products OR more facings of products that do sell. By performing category resets retailers keep the fastest moving products on the shelves, which enables them to increase revenues and give shoppers the items they are looking for.
